Afro Thursday - Hair Style of the Day

Hey ladies!

Afro Thursday is my variation of throwback Thursdays...just because I can be a little bit of a rebel and refuse to do a throw back because the whole world is doing it! Lol

My hair style today is what I would call a front pouf with a twist out in the back! Because I am in law school I really don't have a lot of time to put into a nightly routine so I usually just pineapple it. Last night I did have a little bit more time so I did about 7 mini twists all laying the front just to give me some fluff and I "pineappled" the rest with just one stretchy!

This morning I took out the twists, swooped most of it to one side & made a pouf by tucking it in with a bobby pin. Then I took out my stretchy at the back and fluffed it a little into a 'fro and Viola!!!
*Only thing I don't like about it is that because I did not pineapple with 2 strechies it came out not as streched as I would have wanted it to be and it has shrinked back a little...BUT shrinkage comes with the territory and considering I spent only 8 minutes on hair this morning, I can't complain! :)

10. Pineapple my hair at least 4 nights a week.

9. Have learned to embrace my kinks and curl pattern.

7. Have a market full of hair stuff in my room...not literally...but pretty close!

6. Get to put flowers and other fun accessories in my hair without feeling like i'm two! (Not that there is anything wrong with being two).

5. Have designated hair date nights... just me, my hair and i!

4. Schedule "wash day" into my planner.

3. Spend a lot of time on certain youtube channels getting "hairspiration."

2. Literally have this overwhelming feeling pretty consistently where i am just IN LOVE with my hair.

1. Can be having the worst hair day ever but still expect to receive a least one compliment about my hair that day

My mother big chopped a few days ago & since then I have had the itch to document my hair growth over the past year. I may make a video...when my school schedule finally slows down, until then enjoy the pictures!!
